Economy Troubleshooting
This page covers the most common problems admins run into after enabling MurFFy Economy.Quick Setup Will Not Start
Quick setup only works on a blank economy. If your server already has economy data, presets will not apply over it. Check whether the server already contains:- currencies
- items
- jobs
- activities
- transactions
- member accounts
Members Say They Cannot Earn
Check these settings first:- minimum account age
- minimum time in server
- allowed channels
- allowed roles
- whether the earning source itself is enabled
Members Can Earn But Have Nothing To Buy
Open:- Items
- Shop
- Overview
- the shop has visible listings
- prices make sense against real rewards
- there are at least a few obvious goals for new members
Economy Feels Inflated
Check whether you have too many active faucets:- daily rewards
- activities
- jobs
- passive income
- event multipliers
- gambling payouts
- shop pricing
- resale loss
- transfer taxes
- fees
Members Are Hoarding
That usually means one of two things:- prices are too high relative to fun
- the shop is not aspirational enough
Journal Looks Busy But You Still Do Not Know What Is Wrong
Use both:- Journal for exact movement history
- Analytics for broader supply trends
A Section in the Dashboard Feels Hard To Understand
Use:- the contextual guide panel on the right
- the docs link inside that guide panel
- the Overview checklist to get back to the big picture
Players Are Confused
Usually the issue is not only balance — it is communication. Check whether you have:- a clear starter flow
- readable shop listings
- enough player-facing docs
- a progression path that makes sense within the first few minutes
Last Resort: Simplify
If the economy is hard to reason about, reduce scope:- fewer earning sources
- fewer special systems
- fewer moving parts at launch
