Economy Presets
MurFFy includes three built-in presets for blank servers:- Casual
- Balanced
- Progression
Quick Comparison
Casual
Choose Casual if you want members to understand and enjoy the system quickly. Use it when:- the economy is a side feature, not the main point of the server
- your audience is broad
- you want fast feedback and easy wins
- generous early rewards
- low friction onboarding
- members reach their first goals quickly
- fast balance growth
- shop prices becoming too easy to trivialize
- members finishing the starter loop too quickly
Balanced
Choose Balanced if you want the safest default for most servers. Use it when:- you are unsure which preset to choose
- your community wants progression but not a grind wall
- you want easier long-term tuning
- moderate earning rates
- clearer price-to-reward relationships
- less risk of instant inflation
Progression
Choose Progression if you want stronger milestones and slower advancement. Use it when:- your members enjoy long-term goals
- the economy is an important part of the server experience
- you want items and jobs to feel earned
- stronger sense of growth
- better support for aspirational pricing
- clearer progression identity
- a grindy first impression
- weak short-term motivation if early rewards are too small
- needing better player communication
What Presets Do Not Replace
Presets give you a solid starting point, but you should still review:- whether your shop removes enough currency
- whether your rewards fit your community size
- whether gambling or events belong in your server at all
- whether docs and player explanations match your chosen setup
When To Skip a Preset
You can skip presets if:- you already have a strong design in mind
- your economy is not blank
- you need very custom rules from day one
