Autoresponders

Autoresponders allow MurFFy to automatically reply to messages that contain specific keywords or phrases. To get started, select Autoresponders from the sidebar on the left in the dashboard and click Create Autoresponder. Create Autoresponder

Creating an Autoresponder

When creating an autoresponder, you need to configure the Trigger (the phrase that activates it) and the Response (what the bot will say).

Options

You can customize how the autoresponder behaves with the following options:
  • Reply in Embed: If enabled, the bot will send the response inside an embed instead of a plain text message.
  • Search in text: Acts as a wildcard. The bot will search for the trigger phrase anywhere in the message.
  • Is Reply: If enabled, the bot will use Discord’s “Reply” feature to reference the user’s message. Otherwise, it will send a standard message.

Ignored Contexts

You can prevent the autoresponder from triggering in specific situations using Ignored Contexts.
  • Ignored Roles: Users with these roles will not trigger the autoresponder.
  • Ignored Channels: Messages sent in these channels will not ignore the autoresponder.
